Whilst we are open to discuss employment opportunities for other positions, we are currently looking for individuals in the following areas:

Web Developer

Zed One Internet Services is looking for a talented Web Developer to work on specific projects, including our forthcoming Hometown UK Venture.

There are options to work in one of our corporate offices in Newmarket or Soham (near Cambridge), or as a teleworker, operating from a home base. Remuneration and full time or contract arrangements can be discussed in advance of interview.

Experience with Perl, Coldfusion, Java and XML useful. Web page design skills, experience with CGI Scripts, SSI and proficiency with HTML essential.

It would also be desirable for applicants to display knowledge of running Unix Servers and using Telnet.

Remuneration
Commensurate with experience.

Content Managers

Positions are available immediately to work with Zed One Internet Services mainly on the following project areas:

Portalscene Portal Directory
Hometown UK Network Services
ZedShop Content Distribution Services

Interested applicants will be involved in the development of one or more of the aforementioned projects, and possibly others not mentioned above.

A good command of the English language, and proficiency with the written word are essential pre-requisites.

Personal attributes should include the ability to work under pressure to deadlines, and to work both on your own initiative and as part of a small team. Applicants should be articulate, preferably with previous Sales, Management or Editorial experience.

Duties will include sourcing and producing content; helping to develop content intensive ‘Topic’ Channels for some of our service based sites; researching, writing and editing articles and reports and other forms of content. The position also requires you to provide liaison services and assistance to both content owners and client users.
